I can't express the sadness I feel with Mac's passing. She has been my friend for 45 years. I know she is in a better place, with her beloved Rich, her brother, and sister, and all the animals she has saved over her many years. She was such an inspiration to me. I was always an animal lover but could never compare to Mac's passion. As I visited her at Welty, I saw her slipping away, and would leave crying. As I pet our service dog, Amber, I will cherish the memories and time I was able to spend with her, which was always my pleasure. The Brooke County Animal Shelter and our current laws are Mac's love. RIP.
